Morning Tea

Drinking clove tea with adding another plant to the brew has been my go to herbal tea in the morning. When I took some antibiotics that messed up my gut health. Killing all necessary and unnecessary bacteria in the body it left my defenses low to for over growth of yeast, parasites, and bacteria to grow in the body. I was suggested a book called super gut. It has numerous amount of information how to regenerate our health, bodies, life back to homeostasis. In specific for this post. It spoke about the benefits of mixing clove and green tea into an herbal tea.




The various health benefits of clove are astonishing:

- helps reduce inflammation

- antimicrobial properties that can kill bacteria

- carries eugenol which acts as a natural antioxidant

- thickens the mucus of the stomach lining because of (eugenol)

- helps with fatty liver because of (eugenol)

- protect against cancer because of (eugenol)


What is eugenol? Eugenol is a naturally occurring phenolic molecule found in several plants such as cinnamon, clove, and bay leaves.


The multiple health benefits of green tea are powerful:


- contains catechin with which acts as a natural antioxidant

- helps cognitive function because of compounds L-theanine & caffeine

- helps body break down fat

- can aid in weight loss

- help manage blood sugar while fasting

Drinking this tea through out the year in the mornings has been a great benefit to the overall homeostasis to my body. I have diverted from green tea recently and began using yerba mate. Yerba mate also has polyphenols. Which is chlorogenic acid. Also carries many vitamins and minerals that aid the body. Similar health benefits to green tea. Diabetes, weight reduction, antifungal etc.,.


Certain days I will add different herbs; such as damiana, mullein, cota, nettle, dandelion, astragulus, etc.,.
